Heard of Yuriorkis Gamboa

Question

Has anyone else seen this guy fight? I think he's pretty exceptional!! He's 11-0 with 9kos and was an Olympic Gold medalist. He has like 250 ammateur fights. His promoters are putting him in with tough fights and he's been lights out! I've watched his last 2 fights and I believe he's already a force to be wreckoned with. He's 126 weight class and the baddest thing coming up IMO. I'm excited about him cause usually I don't hear about great boxers until they're about 25 fights in. I'm looking foward to watching him progress and saying 2 years from now, "I knew about him in '08!" Now you can say that too!!!

He has a fight coming up on Oct. 4th on HBO against a guy that's 25-0. Catch that and check out some of his recent fights on-line if you can! His last one was against Al Seegar, 1st round KO with a MEAN right!

i'm cuban and i know about him since the 2004 Olympics he is now being viewed world wide about time.....

His speed and power is pretty scary and his double fist power is pretty scary, his fight against darling jimenez was a good learning experience. That KO was especially brutal. I will definitely look forward to his progress, h**l I think he could fight for a world title next year.

We were all talking about Gamboa 6 Months ago on this site, he is a very good prospect and looks a definite future World champ to me, maybe he needs to work on his defence a bit but that is just down to making the transition from the Amateurs to the Pros. Throws some great Combos and his speed is frightening, Brilliant to watch.
