Heard of the charity New Eyes for the Needy?

I recently got a new pair of RX glasses. (woo-hoo) It got me thinking how I have several pair tucked away that I can't use any longer. So I looked for a charity that I could send them off to - and found New Eyes for the Needy via a search (www.neweyesfortheneedy.org). I tried to run a search on how legit the charity is, but can't find a lot of information on them. Has anyone used this charity or can suggest something similar?

Part of the reason I really want to check it out is I am considering setting up a community drive - I'm sure I'm not the only one with old eye glasses around. Thanks in advanced for your answers!

lion's clubs are a reputable group that does it.
