Okay so I've been hearing voices and seeing things. Normally this would be no big deal but I'm starting to freak out. I'm hearing screaming. People whispering Please help her. Help her please. To the point where they end up screaming. I think the girl they are referring to is a girl a couple days ago I seen in a dream drowning. She is so unreal but yet I see her watching me all the time. I really don't know what to do. I am really scared.

  1. You should be scared.  It sounds like you are suffering from paranoid schizophrenia.  Are you by chance of Native American ancestry?  This ethnic group has an unfortunate predisposition for both alcoholism and schizophrenia.  If you are Native American, is your name "Standing Liar" or "Lying Bird"?

  2. I too would like to say see a psychologist at the very least and if the medication wasnt working then get it changed.

  3. Hmm... this is a fairly extreme psychotic break, if true. Call your doctor immediately, first of all, and let him/her make a recommendation for a next step. It may be the hospital if it's troubling you this much, but trust me, they'll dope you up enough to get out of it.

As for diagnosis, people on this forum are gonna throw the word schizophrenia around, but that's not necessarily the case. Get a referral to a psychiatrist at the very, very least, and it may take them a while to label you.

I've experienced similar things, except mine were robots, and I would (this is silly) just blow on them until they evaporated. Then I based a story on a part of that experience.

  4. ask the girl what she wants

they have to answer or go away

  5. OKAY, IF YOU ARE NOT A MEDIUM THAT SEES AND HEARS THE DEAD, THEN I SUGGEST YOU GO TO YOUR DOCTOR AND TELL HIM ABOUT THIS,

  6. if you are not joking than you should really go to the doctor things like that are nothing to mess around with it sounds like schizophrenia which is a very serious but treatable disease

  7. you should see a psychiatrist.  it is not uncommon to be troubled by a disturbing dream but you shouldnt be hearing voices.

  8. No!  Absolutely not!  It is absolutely NOT normal to be hearing voices for the past 4 years.  Who on earth told you that!  They are wrong!

You said you were diagnosed with CDD.  Well, I would assume that you are on medication for depression?  I once took medication for depression that really flipped me out.  I had terrible night terrors and would awake during vivid dreams, feeling they were real and really happening and I would see things in the dark that terrified me.  Once, I almost gave my husband a black eye because I started punching at him when he held me down because I was trying to run out of the bed and out of the room during one of these episodes.  AND, I also heard voices.  That was the scariest part of it maybe.  Turned out to be the medication I was on and I had to have it changed.  Have you told whoever it is that has prescribed the medication you're currently taking about what you've said here on Yahoo!Answrs?   If you have and if that professional has told you that's ok or that it's normal, time to find another doctor.  Really.

  9. I suggest you see a mental health professional.
