Question:

Hearing difficulties in one ear.?

I can't hear external sound very well. I used to clean the canal with a Q-tip which I learned wasn't suggested a while afterward. I would suspect it's damage to the ear drum but my left ear works fine. When I put pressure on certain areas I can't hear anything but when I pull down on the earlobe it goes back to the way it was. So given this information, is this a wax clog up or something else?

  1. It sounds like wax build up. There are several different over the counter medications to remove wax build up, give one of them a try. Ask your pharmacist for a recommendation. If that doesn't work, try putting a cotton ball in your ear for a couple of days. It will reduce any noise hitting your eardrum and give the ear a chance to heal.

If none of that works, go see your Doctor, or just go see your doctor now.
