Hearing impaired YA! members: Digital Voice Phenomena on hearing aids?

My husband has digital hearing aids. Sometimes he gets weird background noise...NOT the same kind as when he needs to recalibrate. Has anyone out there ever gotten DVP on thier hearing aids? We just moved to an old house, so there's a possibility of "someone" sharing the space.

  1. Considering that EVPs are complete nonsense I would seek other explanations.

  2. That's REALLY interesting!! Never thought of that possibility.Hope someone on here knows the answer. Peter D is just Peter D. Maybe HE needs a hearing aid! lol

  3. Has he had a call from Batman yet?

  4. It is possible for a spirit to communicate directly through a hearing aid. Often they will speak directly into unattended microphones.

FYI - It is called an EVP.

  5. Hah, that's funny. I'll have to ask my brother-in-law, he's deaf and has those. Seriously though, when there's a smorgasbord of likely natural explanations for some perceived phenomenon, there really is little reason to jump to the paranormal for an explanation right off the bat. Anything electronic is prone to interference, noise, etc., especially if it is an aural device using amplifier circuits. If he's getting weird background noise, I'd suggest changing the batteries for starters. If that doesn't do it, consult the manual or contact customer support to determine the reason he's encountering interference.

Edit: You gave me a great idea if I was a dishonest businessman: "New breakthrough! Hearing aids, guaranteed to filter out spirits and entities!"

  6. Just a few day ago channle 7's News had a test for us.  What was called a "Masqueto".  It is ment for the youth.  As a croud management device.  It is an 85 Hertz noise that only children between 17 and 25 can hear.  But then after the News showed Washington State how it can drop a classroom.  It was turned onto the public over the TV.  I am 45 and my brother is 42 we both heard it.  SO, the News had a test of who could hear this device...if he is hearring something on his hearring aid, it has to be within machanical listening.
