Hearing voices?

Question

I have been hearing voices not loud ones just whispers like a t.v or radio thats turned down really low. I hear them not from in my head but in my ear. I am 29 now and have this going on since I was like 4 or so. Silvia Brown says they are Spirit Guides and not Demons, but what do you guys think?

It may be medical & going to have it checked out would be an added plus.

If everything checks clear from MD, then the other possiblity would be "Clairaudient"

While I do not dismiss the possibility of the paranormal being involved in any situation I believe you should always eliminate any normal causes first.

I believe that you should speak to a medical doctor about your situation.

From your description it sounds like it could be Tinnitus (link below) but I'm not a medical doctor.

It's called clairaudience.  I have the same thing.  It's been called a "Gift" but I would love to regift it to somebody.  It's not that often that you can really make out what they are saying, and if you do understand  something whats the point if you don't know who it's  for.  It is a good way to tell if a house is haunted.

I think you need to talk this over with a doctor.  Auditory hallucinations are a precursor to much worse conditions. The good news is it's very treatable...but you have to tell your doctor.

I guess there's no way to really tell which they are..since you can't see them. Even if you could see them...they could be disguising themselves . I believe you. If they tell you to do something you know is wrong....they are probably bad..so don't do it.But even if it's telling you something good...you really really can 't be sure if it's a good spirit, an angel, God...or U no who!! I do know that it's a sign of schizophrenia...but that disease has a lot of other symptoms with it..not just voices. I've heard them too...they were like very strong thoughts..almost audible, but now..very clear. Whatever it was..it dictated a bunch of poems/rhymes/songs to me which I wrote down.They were good too...not ramblings or anything weird. I know it wasn't me because they rhymed ..and I couldn't have done that. People said it was a Muse. IDK. It turned out bad though..so maybe it was a bad spirit etc.  Just hard to believe an evil spirit would send poems/rhymes about Jesus.

what this may b is that you may have an ability that lets you hear or communicate with spirits from the other side. what you should do instead of running away you should try to talk, answer back when you hear them calling you, or calling out. when you hear this call back out to them let them know you are here to help them let you are not going to harm them. if you hear the voice go toward it and find out whats going on, find out why they are calling to you. i know this because i am only 18 and i can speak send thoughts to them, speak to them. every since alittle boy i have these things happen without anynoitice until the age of 7 or 8. anymore just e-mail me.

They could be spirit guides... you could be sensitive to spirits... You don't need your head examined as one person put it.

I would set up digital recorder to see if maybe you can pick these voices up on one.  If you not sure about it look up EVP's or how to capture them.

I  don't think they are demons... you would not just get a whisper.

If they were spirit guides or demons, I would think they would either find a way to get thier message across, or give up.

How come they are talking to you and noone else?

My guess is that its either a psycological issue or medical issue.

Why would a demon or spirit guide spend 25 years whispering in your ear, if you could not understand what they were saying? Come on, be serious, think about it.

By the way, Sylvia Browne doesnt know what she is talking about, she has been proven over and over again to be a fraud. She is just out to make money off her BS, there is no reason believe anything she says is correct.

Well, first of all there are psychiatric disorders that can lead to voices. So I would first ask, what are they saying to you? Okay so let's assume this isn't psychiatric. There are several proposed more spiritual causes for hearing voices. Which ear are you hearing these voices in, is it both? Or is it more internal? Spirit guides, spirits of deceased loved ones, ghosts, and very very rarely demons, are all believed to be sources of "hearing voices." Listen to what the messages are telling you; if you find these messages disturbing they may be reason for concern. If they are gentler messages with guidance or they help you make an important decision, it might be a spirit guide. If they sound like a deceased relative or convey a message in a way a deceased relative used to, it might just be someone you know. There is no clear-cut answer here, at least not with the information you have provided.

I've heard that too!

I've heard my name called several times over the years, like someone was standing right next to me trying to get my attention.

I've heard these voices as clear as having a conversation with someone. And then when you ask anyone near you if they heard it too, no one has.

I even began wondering if I was going cocoa for cocoa puffs.

But so far, I'm still sane.

Hi...

I hear too...but mine are clear...Like some one call my name...or I hear piano sound or a woman is singing...I began to hear from 3 years ago at first i afraid too much but now i need to hear them...because i want to have a contact with them...take it easy and let them come to you and call you...!!!

I think if you are really hearing voices that are distinct from your internal monologue and appear to be behaving with an independent personality, then you could be experiencing symptoms of a psychiatric disorder.  I am not qualified to diagnose such things, so I would encourage you to seek the attention of a psychiatrist just to make sure everything is OK.

In all seriousness, I think this is something to discuss with a doctor. There could be some health concerns related to this, and your doctor will be able to explain those to you.  

I'm not saying anything is necessarily wrong, but sometimes our bodies give us warning signs that should be checked out, just in case anything is medically wrong.

By the way, Sylvia Browne is a fraud and convicted felon.

its most likely your spirit guide but if you've been hearing it since you were four I'd have to say your psychic, Talk back to it and let them it know that if they arent from the holy spirit and positive from the white white light to go and not come back. You also need some imformation, books, or a good web site on how to improve your abilities, good luck!
