I am a 25 year old woman and am going on the 9th hour of heart or chest pain. I haven't went to the hospital because it isn't unmanageable pain but it won't go away. At first it was hurting every time I moved now it's when I breathe or talk. I was diagnosed with Anxiety disorder about a year ago but not because of chest pain. Could this be related or do I need to go to the hospital. My husband just switched jobs and our insurance kicks in, in two weeks! So this would have to be pretty serious for me to go since it's gonna cost thousands of dollars. What would you do in my situation?

I also have a home daycare that I would have to have every parent come and get their kids as well as find care for mine as well.

  1. get outside and take deep breathes!

if the pain goes away then relax theres nothign wrong with you you're perfectly fine

if it doesn't go away by tonight get to the hospital!!!!

  2. with anxiety you can get chest pains, it happened to me. that is a normal symptom of anxiety. you may have an ulcer or heart burn. you can try 1/4 cup of water the 2 tablespoons baking soda. its gross but it will get rid of the gas pain, if thats what it is. even though you are probably ok, you should see a dr. maybe go to your reg dr. let them know you wont have ins until 2 weeks. maybe he would discount your visit. he can at least check you and run an ekg. good luck

  3. ok this isnt a game....chest pains are serious and you HAVE PEOPLES KIDS IN YOUR CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! go to a local clinic that goes by your income or offers charity care and only give certain info because you are self employed and it wont be expensive. GO QUICKLY before something tragic happens! and better to miss one emergency day of daycare than to be hopsitalized for days or weeks for something that could have been avoided!

  4. As a person who suffers from anxiety, i can tell you that i get chest pains often. but i also know chest pains are something you should not ignore. My son is 25 and he was having chest pains so he went to the hospital and a doctor said at his age it is extremely rare to have a heart attack, especially if there is no family history. I can't really say what you should do, but i know if it was me, and i had no insurance, i would try to wait a while. If the pain travels down your arm, or you feel a lot of pressure, you should go to the hospital right away. Good Luck and Hugs :-)

  5. You need to call a free health care clinic in your area and

see how soon they can get you in...they usually have night

    appointments

  6. Call 911 ... you will have no insurance coverage if you're dead!

  7. wait it out, if your left side of your face or left arm goes numb call an ambulance.

  8. do you think it could be horrible heart burn? as for hurting when you breath or talk im not sure about that, but i had unbearable chest pains, and it was due to heartburn, just google the heart attack signs, and trust your gut instinct, and as far as waiting it off, trust your gut instinct if you believe your life is in jeopardy dont hesitate to go to the hospital, maybe go to a health clinic and tell the doctor what is going on, and he/she may be able to help you figure out what is going on, or at least give you tips to alleviate your chest pains

  9. So, you have anxiety, and now you have chest pain. So you are more anxious. Because you don't have insurance, and you are worried you are having a heart attack. So you have more chest pain. And you worry that this will cost more and more. And so you have more chest pain. AND you have anxiety. And you are worried that you don't have insurance, so now what if you get sick sometime and have to go to the hospital - it will cost a lot of money. So you have more chest pain. And what will you do with all the kids? And yours? Who will help? Will the parents be mad, and hire someone else, losing you more money? And you become more anxious, and you have more chest pain.

You are a 25 year old woman with no prior history of chest pain, but a history of anxiety, who now has chest pain that changes when you move and breathe. Heart attack chest pain does not change when you move and breathe. Only pain from tired, overworked muscles (like the ones in your chest you use to breathe quickly and deeply when you're anxious) moves and changes. Not that I've seen this before.

And the standard "don't sue me" disclaimer - However, you know you. If you think you need to go to the hospital, you probably should, be it by ambulance, car, taxi, bus, walking, or bicycle.
