  1. You can't tell i knew someone who tried it and it was supposed to be a girl but it was a boy

  2. The first time I heard my baby's heartbeat was at 11 weeks and it was 163 BPM so everyone said it HAS to be a girl. It's in fact a girl and it's fluxuated between 140-170 since. It was 158 last week at 34 weeks. I ruled it out as a coincidence though.

  3. there is some debate, but essentially heart rate is not an accurate indicator of gender. i think the debate is how accurate it is, as i have read that it is more than 50% accurate but still not a reliable way to determine gender.

  4. old wives tale is that if its higher than 140 its a girl.. mine was higher than 140 every single time and im expecting a boy so i dont go by it lol good luck

  5. I have an 8 month old and I am 5 months pregnant.  I asked my doctor the very question and the answer was no.  The smaller the baby the faster the heart rate.  As the baby grows the HR will slow a bit.   He said it was just an old wives tale

  6. nope everyone told me girls heart rates are higher, but my little boy who will be entering the world monday was always 150,and up! All babys are diffrent:)

  7. Slower boy

    Faster girl

When I was pregnant my daughters was always 150 or above and  I had a girl.

Of course this isn't 100% accurate but I think it holds some truth.

  8. nope, sorry its not. It just seems that more times the heartbeat is slower if it is a boy, but its not always true.
