Heart rate during pregnancy????Plz Help!!?

I've been told that a normal heart rate for a pregnant woman is about 85, give or take on the specific woman. I've been having a little bit of heart problems like rapid heart beat, chest pains, passing out. I've been talking to my doctor about it and he sent me to a cardiologist. Had to take some tests and won't get the results until the end of the week.

They commented about my heart rate being so high. It was 120 at resting.

What problems could this cause me and my baby? Would they maybe have to induce me early because of this??

Thanks in advance!!!

  1. I have the same problem my heart rate was at 170 in my first trimester and I had to go into the hospital for a few days..I have had this problem for 10 years or so it's called sinues tack-nacardia.

That's what I have you might have something else heart rate can also be triggered by stress! Just know that the baby is fine and stay away form caffeen and drink a lot of water! hope this helps I know how unconfortable it can be!

  2. Really these are questions for your doctor and/or cardiologist, but remember that during pregnancy, your blood volume literally doubles, and it may put added strain on your heart to pump this extra blood around, especially if you do not stay hydrated enough.  I also notice that my heart rate speeds up when my blood sugar is too high (I have gestational diabetes and occasionally my sugar spikes high).  Have you been tested for GD yet?

In the end, only your doctor and the cardiologist will be able to tell you whether or not this poses a risk to your baby and whether or not they believe it would best for you to deliver early.  Good luck!
