Heart stent question... please help???

Hi

I need to know some stuff

my husband was told recently he needs to get a stent put in and he wants to wait till nov which is like 2 and a half months away

cuz he is workin in a differnt state on a job he cant leave

but even if he does make an appt right now will he be able to get in .. in nov? how long did it take u or someone u know to get the appt set up and how long to recover and go back to work from it????

  1. Needing a stent and not getting it is very dangerous. I have four of them and they were done immediately. It is not convenient but just might save his life.


  2. nowadays stents are almost outpatient procedures; a testament to how common the procedure has become.

    Generally a day or two max is procedure.  Complications will demand more time.

    Nobody here can tell u that two months let alone 2 days is ok.  But work generally does not come before health.  Without health, you can't work.  Someone needs to prioritize better.

    After the stent, he'll have to modify is lifestyle some but if he's an office worker, he should be fine within a few days of the procedure.  If he's a laborer, he'll have to take it easy for a longer period.

    All in all, a stent isn't something that gets in the way of life too much.  But the reason for the stent has it's own messages to listen to.
