I can't believe that Liukin did not get the gold medal, I was so upset. But since they both tied, they both should have gotten gold medals. That tie breaker was all bullcrap.

  1. I was upset too, I mean if they have the same score give them BOTH the gold medal.

Plus the Australian judge forgot too deduct He for something.

Poor judging really, and that tie braker is bogus.   Nastia's highest score was higher than He's highest and her lowest score was higher than He's lowest.

  2. I agree, But I believe Liukin done the better job. Both had a great performance but who stuck the landing? The things that make you say mmmm.

  3. Wrong. Liukin should have gotten the gold. He should have gotten the silver.

But considering they got the EXACT same score...ya it's c**p they both didn't get golds. Oh well. Nastia's already proved she's the best female gymnast in the world.

  4. I think a samurai sword fight to the death would be a better tiebreaker..

But seriosly, we're only pissed off cuz our American sweetheart gymnast lost.

"That tie breaker was all bullcrap."-Agreed

  5. Well it was at the Atlanta games that they started the tiebreaker, so it was basically the Americans that did this. But blame it on the judges and not on He Kexin, the judges cannot be from the same country as the gymnasts so its NOT favoritism for the Chinese. I personally think that Yang Yilin should have won gold due to a perfect exercise and perfect landing, and nastia should have still gotten silver, and He a bronze. But they always bash the gold contender don't they?! Will they do any bashing if USA won a gold undeservingly??????

  6. In 1997, the IOC created the tie breaker rule preventing gymnasts from tieing for gold (the rule has changed since the 2005 score changes). Just because they both got the same A judge scores, does not mean they got the same score(and you can challenge a A judge score if you think it's unfair, but you can't challenge the B score for a good reason). The rule was not made by Chinese. When the rule was made a few years ago representatives from USA also voted for it.  Even Nastia has accpected it because it's the RULES. It's not bullcrap, nobody likes it yes and it's not a common occurrence, but that doesn't make it any less valid just because USA didn't win.

  7. You should be thankful it was a tie coz honestly, Liukin deserved either bronze or fourth place. Her routine is nothing great. I guess the judges are just getting pressured by the whiners. The bronze girl should be either silver or gold.

  8. yeah same heartbroken reaction here! gosh, this year the chinese gymnasts have broken, bent, and disregarded so many rules. He's routine was quite messy, disorganized, and frankly not that enjoyable to watch.

the tiebreaker system was bull. the first part was right in canceling out the even scores, but when they take out the lowest scores was when i was screaming at the tv. just because nastia had more 9.0s and 9.1s, the lowest score that was canceled was a 9.0 and He's was 8.9.

    MAJOR RIPOFF!!!!!!!!!

  9. it wasn't tie, there was a .01 difference that's how HE won

why are people upset over this? she tried her best and she still got a silver.

I love Nastia she is from my city but it was just too close
