Heat Rises!!When packing a cooler is it best to pack the ice on top or the bottom to keep everything cold??

Good question!

from my research it looks like blocks of ice are best (at the bottom since they are heavy)  and smaller water proof bags of ice are great for on top.  

Make sure you keep space from food that can get soggy and the ice packs.

Since heat rises, cold sinks. So put your stuff in the cooler and then add the ice on top.
