  1. It depends on how much heat and how long it is applied.  It also depends on what kind of surface the fingerprints are on.  Prints on a gun, when left there a long time, will permanently etch into the metal.  The kind of heat to get rid of them would melt steel.   Prints on paper can still be seen after burning the paper, IF the paper is still intact after burning.

Merely applying heat from a heat lamp will probably NOT take away prints, but could blur them if the prints are greasy or oily.  Your best bet is to NOT leave prints, but better yet, do nothing harmful or illegal and you won't have anything to worry about.

  2. No. It would only work if you completely burnt your fingertips down past all the layer of your skin.

  3. Absolutely.

Take your hand and put ink on it and make a hand print on a piece of paper. Now get a lighter and put the paper on fire. I guarantee the nice hand print will not survive. Try lifting a print from ashes and dust.

Enough heat will destroy any fingerprint any where.
