Hello having problem with my heat in 1992 honda civic with integra engine replaced thermostad and still no heat so checked heater core and antifreeze circulating in and out of heater core well. both hoses hot when car warm and heater core on the bottom hot but the rest of it is just a little warm.i also checked the valve from the hose going into the heater core and the door is not stuck close opening and closing well. i checked all the hoses and only the hose going from the bottom of the radiator to the thermostad is not getting hot when i let the car run for a while. I replaced heater core anyways because the old one was looking like it could start leaking in future and dont want to do all that work to replace it again. Im thinking its got something to do with the thermostad now. Thank you Id apreciate any advice.

  1. Yeah thermostat, especially if you've just replaced the heater matrix based on what you say.

Also, make sure you refilled the coolant properly, as you may have an airlock in the system

  2. never worked on a honda, but on some vehicles i have worked on, everything was warm where it should be and flowing well but I had no heat. Turned out to be the heat selector on the dash oddly enough. Also, depending on where you got the thermostat... you might want to get another... big name discount autopart stores have a notorius reputation for having bad thermostats... could also test it by boiling water and popping it in the pot to see if it opens.

    Good luck!
