Heat mat!!?

Question

i have a heat mat o n the bottem of my tank someone told me that you have t ave it on the back for and emperor scorpion or tarantula can i be on the bottem?

i have heard for arachnids to keep it on the side of the tank so that they dont burrow and hurt themselves with the hot substrate.

For some inverts and some phibs it generally thought to have it on the side or back of your tank behind a background like an exo terra background or a coco or cork panel. im not sure whats best for a emperor scorp google the species your thinking of getting and the word caresheet this should give u the info u need

heat mats should always be outside of the cage for most reps phibs and inverts dont put inside as it can injure your pet

Huh...I cant really understand your question but your heat mat should be under the sand..On the glass bottom with sand over it.
