Question:

Heater not turning on

i switched the thermostat to heat and nothing happened. it set at 68 and it was 63 in the house, i waited and nothing happened. i turned the fan switch to on and the fan works. i switched to cool and lowered the setting and it kicked on. any idea why the heater won't kick on?
