Heater smells

Question

I bought this propane heater to try and avoid the smells usually associated with portable heaters. This heater smells up the garage like a lownmower is running in it. It seems like there should be a flame adjustment to keep it from smelling. It is a cheap heater and maybe this is the problem. Is there an adjustment?
