Heath L'Estrange signs a new three-year deal with Bradford Bulls – Rugby news
British Rugby Football League club, Bradford Bulls, has confirmed the signing of a new three-year deal with their hooker Heath L'Estrange. The announcement of the extension of contract was made on the club’s official website on Monday, June 6.
The statement read, “Bradford Bulls are delighted to announce that Hooker Heath L'Estrange has signed a new three year contract with the club.” The contract was signed after the Bulls 30 – 16 victory over the Harlequins at the Stoop on Saturday, June 4th.
Bulls’ hooker L'Estrange has expressed his delight on the extension of his contract and the opportunity to be the part of the team for a longer duration of time. With this long-term deal, he has confirmed to other Super League clubs that he only wants to
play for the Bradford Bulls.
L’Estrange further added that, “I’m very relieved that it's done now.  We've wanted to get this done since the start of the year - both parties, myself and Bradford and now we've come to the agreement I'm so happy to be here for the next three years.”
The Sydney born L'Estrange started his professional senior rugby career in the National Rugby League (NRL). He made his debut for Sydney Roosters in 2004 and made 29 appearances for them in three seasons.
At the start of the 2008 season, L'Estrange joined Manly – Warringah Sea Eagles by signing a two-year deal.  He made 43 appearances for Eagles in two season and was part of the Eagles team, which lifted the 2008 NRL title.
In 2010 L'Estrange signed a two-year deal with the Bradford Bulls. He replaced the formal England International, Terry Newton. He has played 75 games in the Southern Hemisphere Rugby League side and scored 32 points.
His impressive on-field performance and his off-field attitude, has helped him to earn a long-term contract with the club. L’Estrange was also awarded the Bulls’ Player of the Year award in his debut 2010 season.
Bulls head coach, Mick Potter, has expressed his satisfaction with signing the hooker on to a three-year deal.  He said, “It's pleasing to have Heath on board for the next three years. He's still only 26 so he's got a lot of rugby league left in him yet.
He adds some really good things to the team.”
Commenting on his skills and abilities, Potter added, “He gets us over the advantage line, defends well, is strong enthusiastic and talks well. All the things you'd want from someone in that position.”
Earlier in the season, L’Estrange was sidelined because of the injuries he sustained in Bulls’ game against the Crusaders.
