Heather Watson planning to buy a personal apartment from her savings in London – Tennis News
British booming starlet, Heather Watson, made a name for herself with a fantastic run in the 2012 season.
She won a title in the HP Japan Women’s Open at Osaka to become the first British woman in the past 24 years to win a Women Tennis Association trophy. It was a remarkable achievement for someone who is just 20 years of age and still very novel to this competitive
field of tennis.
Apart from her title triumph in Osaka, Watson managed to clear two rounds in the French Open and three stages at Wimbledon Championships as well.
Despite registering such a magnificent breakthrough season, the 49th ranked Briton decided not to celebrate from the prize money from Osaka conquest and saved up for the material purposes. The youngster is aiming to buy an apartment in London.
At such a young age, purchasing a personal house is a monumental achievement and Watson looks firm to accomplish the dream in the upcoming season.
She was queried by the media reporters about where she had monumental celebrations after a terrific run in Osaka? Watson replied, “No, not really. I'm saving up because I really want to get an apartment in London. I'd like somewhere within good distance
of Wimbledon because it would be nice to stay at home while playing and which isn't too far from Roehampton to train.”
It seems like the youngster is looking to establish herself before enjoying the perks of her professional accomplishments. The costs of travelling across the globe during several tours are so high that some of the low-ranked players are unable to make several
trips due to their low prize earnings.
Moreover, the hyper inflation after a major financial crunch has forced the cost of living to inflate at an exponential rate. Hotel arrangements and dining at different restaurants is expensive for a young player like Watson who receives trivial financial
support from her family.
However, if she continues to prosper in a manner she did in the current season, she will soon be amongst the most elite players on the planet. She is already the number one Briton and amongst the Top-50 players in the world; started outside the Top-100 category
in 2012.
