David Cage, the founder of Quantic Dreams, is set to announce two new games, which will be built on a new engines with speculation linking one of the games to be a PlayStation Vita title.
The Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 is the main event for game developers and publishers to showcase their latest technology, reveal new games and generally gives a picture of what gamers can expect over the course of the next year and so.
This year’s E3 is being played down by many analysts and pundits due to the lack of next generation hardware from both Microsoft and Sony. However, it is drawing quite a considerable level of interest despite all of that due to the fact that Nintendo is
set to throw its considerable weight behind their next-gen console, the Nintendo Wii U.
That does not mean that the over publishers and platform developers will be sitting quietly, far from it, as Sony is set to bring out one of its big guns as the studio that brought the gaming world the revolutionary interactive experience, Heavy Rain, is
set to reveal not one but two new titles.
The news has sparked a fresh wave of speculation as to whether or not both games will be for the PlayStation 3 or whether or not one of the two titles will be released on the PlayStation Vita.
Sony has refused to comment on the situation, which means that at this point in time, anything is a possibility. David Cage did give everyone some food for thought when he teased that their next game would break the limits that had restricted Heavy Rain
as the game would be built on a new engine.
He said, “There were so many things we couldn’t do with our Heavy Rain engine, so we decided to build a new one.”
Quantic Dreams recently demoed their latest tech with Kara and the demonstration left everyone speechless and that has to be on everyone’s mind. Known for thinking and doing things outside the box, one can expect the studio to take centre stage at E3 this
year when the show comes around in June.
