  1. only things i can suggest is taht you use a super plus tampon and a maxi pad. wearing a tampon over night ONE TIME is not going to give you TSS. Put a fresh tampon and a new pad on RIGHT before bed, i'm talking like the minute you are about to get into bed and go to sleep. THen the next morning the SECOND you wake up take out your tampon and such and you will be FINE. Just don't buy any non name brand tampons like the equate brand or CVS brand or something. Tampax or playtex or always, you have less of a chance of getting isck off of these.  and every four hours take an Ibuprofen, that specific medicine,(its just a basic headache medicine that is just like advil but advil doesn't work lthe same as ibuprofen)  this will lighten your period, and keep taking them the day before too, it will hopefully lighten it.

and if your periods are THAT bad i would strongly suggest you go on birth control. It lightens the period alot and keeps them on schedual.

    good luck!!

  2. have you tried the new over night pads by always? those are pretty heavy duty.

  3. I have a friend with the same problem and she uses the Keeper, it's a menstrual cup that catches the blood and then you empty it out when you use the bathroom.  I know she ordered it online, so I'm not sure if you can buy it in stores or not.

    www.thekeeper.com

  4. I have that same problem, what I do is I buy the longest most absorbent one I can find and i ware two of them what happens is when you lie down the blood tends to go up your but and thus causing the leaking (sorry to be so explicit, no other way to explain) so I ware one towards the front of my period panty and and the other right behind it. It works for me, haven't seen a stain ever since. Its really not that uncomfortable either.you get used to it.  It's the only alternative to wearing a tampon, those can be dangerous to ware through the whole night, especially for us.

  5. You can wear two of the heaviest types of pads; this usually works for me and make sure they have wings.

Also, can someone please help with my question.

  6. these pads that i use for my heavy heavy flow are called ALWAYS maxi overnight extra heavy flow. they are about 12 inches long and half an inch thick with lots of padding all around. they are brand new and just came out. they have TWO sets of wings. one set in front and one set in back. they are absolutely AMAZING and if these dont work for you then i dont know what will. they come in a navy/royal/light blue bag and the packaging on each pad is purple. they are totally awesome like i said.

  7. Bring an old towel, fold it so there are 2 layers and then put in under you. Or wear thick pajama pants, though I once leaked when I was sleeping in sweatpants, so that might not help.

Honestly I always got spots on my sheets until I started wearing a tampon to bed. Toxic shock is very rare. And you can always set an alarm to get up and change your tampon or pad in the middle of the night.

Smart foresight by the way. I never thought about it til it was too late; once on the couch at my older sister's house!

  8. You could wear a super tampon and a maxi pad?

    or two pads?

    wear those special incontinence pads.

That might work. I think its more absorbent than a pad?

  9. my suggestion is to piggy back your maxi pads. Put one in and overlap the other, Put the first on in towards the front of your underpants and then over lap the second one about half over the first.

So your maxi pads will pretty much be from front to back .

The only other idea is to wear a tampon and a maxi pad.

  10. I always sleep with a tampon in.  It's ok as long as you're not in bed for more than 8 hours. Wear a super one and set your alarm to wake up and change it in the middle of the night.  Pads are nothing but a mess in bed.

  11. ok first of all do not wear a tampon at night, and try getting a heavier absorbancy pad if you can, and if you cant go see a doctor, if is that heavy something could be messed up down there
