Hector Barbera confirmed to race for Pramac Racing in the 2012 season – MotoGP news
Hector Barbera, former Mapfre Aspar rider has confirmed his new 2012 contract with Pramac Racing Team.
The Spanish rider underwent a tough season. He spent two seasons with the Mapfre Aspar team, riding a satellite Ducati machine.
Barbera said, “This will be my third year riding a Ducati and I want to thank the Pramac Racing Team and Paolo Campinoti who have given me this opportunity. In the last two seasons I have not achieved the results I wanted and I hope that now, after the experience
I have gained, I can get better results.”
Now with his potential to improve he has been signed by the Pramac Racing team for the 2012 season. It is expected that he will be teamed up with Randy de Puniet. The Frenchman might get a 2012 ticket from Rizla Suzuki.
The Spaniard expressed that he and Pramac Racing are focused to push the envelope of performance in 2012.
With 1000cc prototype and enhancements made by factory riders, it is expected that Ducati will mark a new performance level in 2012.
After completing a tough season, he is willing to have a change. It will help him to deliver his full potential in the premier class racing.
The Bologna factory has pushed the testing through the 2011 season to ensure a perfect bike for the 2012 season.
Earlier in the season Ducati factory also had some significant changes in the Desmosedici GP11. It was done to eradicate the characteristic under-steer problem reported by factory rider Valentino Rossi.
After the season finale, the Barbera looks forward to set a higher aim with Pramac Racing. He will start his efforts from the two-day post race test at Valencia.

season with us.”
Barbera finish the 2011 MotoGP season in 11th position even after having a collarbone fracture. He is the top ranked satellite Ducati rider in the point’s table for 2011. This fact impressed the team principal at Pramac Racing.
