Hector Barbera of Pramac Racing Team expects to start Czech Grand Prix – MotoGP news
Hector Barbera of Pramac Racing team expects to make his way back to MotoGP in the Czech Grand Prix.
Until then Toni Elias will continue racing with his Ducati.
Barber has thanked his fans for the messages sent to him during his recovery from broken leg, which he suffered during a practice session.
Barbera said, “Firstly, I want to thank everybody for all their messages of support since the day of my surgery. The support and love has been overwhelming and it has been a great comfort to me at this difficult time.”
He said that love and support has been over whelming for him and has made him feel comfortable during the difficult times.
Moreover, he said that he is recovering and he expects that he will be available for racing by fortnight at Czech GP. Furthermore, he said that he has started the workout by going to gym and pool.
“I'm undergoing rehab on my leg; the situation is improving. It's been three weeks since the operation, and yesterday, Doctor Mir evaluates my physical progress. Now I'm able to give the leg an active workout, in the pool and in the gym, to get ready for
the 12th round of this season in Brno,” he added.
Barbera will take around two weeks recovering from his injury until then Toni Elias will keep racing for team Pramac with his Ducati.
Toni Elias, former world Moto2 Champion has only been able to start a single race in the current season at United States Grand Prix at Laguna Seca, however he was only able to complete a single lap because he crashed in the second lap.
Elias currently does not have a permanent bike he is only substituting Barbera while he recovers.
Barbera currently holds 11th place in the riders’ championship with 60 points. He started the last race, Italian Grand Prix at 3rd grid place and finished it at the 9th place. The highest speed achieved was 171.7 km/h.
In MotoGP, he has been unable to make it to the podium nor has he managed a pole position. Let’s see how he fares in the remainder of the season.
