Hector Barbera returns to the Italian Grand Prix after recovering from injuries – MotoGP news
Hector Barbera of Pramac Racing Team returns to the Misano circuit for the upcoming Italian Grand Prix after recovering from injuries he faced during a training session prior to the United States Grand Prix. Toni Elias replaced him while he was recovering
from the mishap.
Barbera expressed his excitement about returning to the Misano circuit as he has good memories there. The Spaniard said that although he won there, in the middle class in 2009, but the situation is very different now as he was not able to ride a bike for
six weeks.
He said, “I’m really excited that I’ll ride this weekend on this amazing track. I have a lot of good memories about Misano, especially from 2009 when I won in the middle class. Obviously this year it is a different situation. I didn’t ride for six weeks,
but I made a big effort to be ready to race this weekend.”
Furthermore, he said that the only thing he had on his mind during recovery was to get well and to get back to his Ducati, as soon as he could. He added that he worked hard with the passive rehabilitation to recover as fast as he could.
Moreover, he said that he feels great to be back on the circuit even if he knows that things would be rather different this time. He added that he understands that getting back to his normal performance can be hard but he wants to be back in action.
“I feel good, even if I know that on the track it will be a different thing and it could be hard, but I miss my bike and my team and I want to try,” the Spanish rider added.
Additionally, he thanked his team, his sponsor and those people who worked with him. He also thanked Toni Elias, who raced for Pramac Racing Team while Barbera was recovering.
Elias started three races while the injured rider was away, he could not finish the United States GP. He managed to finish the Indianapolis Grand Prix and the Czech Republic Grand Prix at the 11th position.
