The reigning Eredivisie champions failed to lure the 21-year-old winger to Amsterdam Arena in the winter transfer market, but the youngster is hopeful of moving to the Amsterdammers this summer.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luciano-c22574 Narsingh, has been in fine form since the start of the 2011/12 campaign. Netting six goals and amassing 14 assists, the youngster has garnered interest from a host of European clubs.
The Dutch footballer of Indian-Surinamese descent has made it clear that he will not move abroad at this point of his career. However, the 21-year-old has not ruled a move away from Abe Lenstra Stadion to join one of the Dutch top tier sides this summer,
with Ajax Amsterdam the most likely destination.
The Amsterdam giants tabled a bid to acquire the winger’s services in January, but the deal failed to materialise before the transfer window slam shut.
However, the Dutchman has revealed that he would not bother thinking about moving to Amsterdam Arena should the reigning Eredivisie giants come asking for his signature this summer.
“I do not want to move abroad yet. So the logical next step in my career is a big club in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753. Ajax meet that criteria. I would not have to think twice if I got the chance to move there. There was not enough time to complete the move [in January].
It might happen after this season though”, Narsingh was quoted as saying to Nusport.nl.
The 21-year-old is a product of Ajax fabled youth academy, Jong Ajax, but failed to make it to the Amsterdammers’ first team before moving to Heerenveen in the summer of 2008.
“I've read that my transfer fee is €6 million now. And to think Ajax could have had me for free”, Narsingh concluded.
The young winger, who started his career in the 2008/09 season, has thus far represented the Friesland outfit in 53 matches and has netted 11 goals while providing a bagful of assists.
Although the youngster has an ongoing contract at Abe Lenstra Stadion that runs until the summer of 2013, it seems unlikely that he would be plying his trade in Friesland in the next season.
