The Serbian midfielder is of the opinion that Eredivisie is currently the most interesting league in Europe, as top six sides are still in the race for the title.
“Dutch top flight is currently the most interesting league in Europe. Six teams are still competing for the title and anything can happen in the title race at the end of the season”, Djuricic was quoted as saying to the Dutch media.
The Friesland outfit are currently sitting sixth in the league table, five points behind the table-toppers, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar. In addition, they are trailing the second placed Ajax Amsterdam by four points and third placed FC Twente Enschede by a single point.
Nonetheless, the 20-year-old has expressed confidence that his side has a bright chance of becoming the Dutch champions, as they have yet to play against three of the top five sides.
“We have yet to play Ajax, FC Twente and Feyenoord. But of course, we are not the favourites to become champions. However, I believe that if we have an opportunity to lift the title, than this is the season to do it. It is now or never”, Djuricic concluded.
