I've been a lot of times in Italy. It's a really nice country. I've only visited the continental part, not the islands. I've been to the following cities :

Sanremo

Portofino

Genova

Pisa

Lucca

Parma

Bologna

Milano

Verona

Vicenza

Padova

Venezia

Udine

Trieste

a nice city near the austrian border

Firenze,

Rome

Napoli

Salerno

Pizzo

I don't know which city I liked the most.

I guess it would be Rome, but Trieste, Verona, Milano are also nice...

No, I have never been to Italy, but its definitely on my list of places to visit.  I hope to be able to travel to Italy in a few years.

i do love italy, and that's why i even learned italian, i travelled all the country and i wouldn't be able to decide which town is my favourite, besides that, i prefer to stay in the countryside or on the beach, not in town. Ofcourse rome is very special, but even palermo is special, and florence is beautiful, and como in quite nice, ravenna is so small but so pittoresque, messina has also it's good sides, and i could go on from north to south...italy, great people, great country, great food! i lovit!
