Height and baseball?

I am a 5'6'' male outfielder. i want to play in the majors. i am a good hitter and fielder. i need to work on my throwing. will my height keep me from my dreams?

  1. I don't think height matters. If you believe enough, nothing can keep you from your dreams.


  2. probably, if you are that height you need to be EXTREMELY fast, like Taveras, and also very smart

  3. i don't think so --  there is a really short guy on the red sox team and he's one of their best players...!

  4. Height doesn't matter in baseball.

    Look at Willie Taveras? He's about 5'5. He's the number one base stealer.

    You'll be fine, if you're as good as you say you are.

  5. You don't have to be tall to play in the majors. They do expect a  player to be very skilled though. As long as you are skilled you don't have to worry too much.

  6. no/ you hit the ball and catch the ball better than everybody else you play!
