Everton claimed a phenomenal 1-0 win over the Reds Devils in their season opener, and backed it up with another impressive triumph over the Villans.
They currently occupy the sixth spot in the league table, after having secured 6 points from their first three games.
Despite the fact that Moyes is keen on starting with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sylvain-Distin-c34430 in the rearguard, Heitinga was upbeat of his chances of breaking into the team.
The Toffees Player of the Season for last term felt that he needs to do the waiting game, but refused to accept a permanent second-choice status in the squad.
“I have had better days and I feel happier to be with the Dutch national team. This is apparently the tough phase I have to get through every year,” he told the reporters in an interview.
“In the previous two seasons I also barely played in the first games but quickly I became a starter and last year even player of the season.”
“Even now I expect a starting position soon. Moyes had a decision to make. And I understand he wouldn't change (the team) after the wins over Manchester United and Aston Villa.”
The 28-year old, who also represented Holland in the Euro 2012 competition, left Atletico Madrid to join http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c13019 in September, 2009. So far, he has capped 108 appearances for the Merseyside team, and has also stroked 3 goals during this period.
