Schalke General Manager Horst Heldt has expressed his disappointment on the loss in the DFB-Pokal and the failure to defend the title this year.
Schalke lifted the DFB-Pokal last year, defeating MSV Duisburg in the final with a 5-0 score line. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues won their fifth Cup title and downed Bayern Munich in the semi-finals played at the Allianz Arena.
Die Knappen failed to keep pursuit for their defence of the German Cup this year as they lost to Borussia Monchengladbach in Round-3 of the competition. They lost with a 3-1 score line at the Borussia Park.

his brace in the dying moments of the match to make it 3-1 for the home side.
Heldt claimed that it is a huge disappointment on being knocked-out of the German Cup and admitted that the display was not up to the mark from Schalke. He insisted that the hosts were given too much of the ball and they converted
all the chances coming their way.
“We are very disappointed to go out of the cup. It's fair to say the game was already lost in the first half. We had little possession, we found it difficult to find our rhythm and we didn't apply as much pressure as we have done
recently,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The General Manager hailed the opposition for playing some great football and admitted that his side was outplayed in the match. He praised the Foals for making a strong comeback this season after a rather dismal outing in the
previous campaign.
“Monchengladbach were very disciplined and did not allow us much room to pass the ball around. Borussia have transformed themselves from relegation candidates into a top team as they were unfortunately able to demonstrate against
us,” he concluded.
