Schalke director of sport, Horst Heldt, was full of admiration of his side after they beat Wolfsburg with a 3-0 margin. The young general manager commended the German club’s amazing and spirited performance. He also singled out
Jefferson Farfan for his impressive showings in the victory.
The sporting director claimed he was delighted with the result and the game-play. He said he had no grounds to be critical unlike the previous two games. The 42-year-old admitted that he is aware of the tough schedule the Bundesliga
outfit went through, but stressed he is satisfied with the results attained so far.
“I was pleased with the way we played. There was no evidence of any of the things we criticised in the previous two matches. When you consider the energy-sapping schedule we've had, I'm very happy with the team's performance,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
The club official conceded that the players did well and worked hard to get the early advantage through Farfan. He insisted that the team dominated after taking the lead and then went on and scored another two brilliant goals.
He maintained that after getting the second goal he was confident that the Miners would win.
“The boys fought their way into the game, took a deserved a lead and never let up. We've earned ourselves a short break and then we go again,” he stated.
Heldt stressed that the boys were really up for the challenge and put in a strong performance to clinch all three points for Die Knappen. He said Farfan was brilliant in his displays and the summer signing from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 Ibrahim
