Helicobactor pylori again??

I was admitted to hospital on 9/11 due to severe stomach pains. I had an ulcer when I was younger due to my rubbish diet & they assumed it was another ulcer.

Months later (good old NHS) I was given an endoscopy and they found helicobactor & treated me with 4 different drugs.

Lately I have been suffering the same epigastric discomfort. My question is; can you get helicobactor again, years after it was iradicated?

  1. Yes. It is possible to become reinfected with H. pylori, especially if you happen to have a susceptibility to it.

    H. pylori exists in the environment, in unclean water and food.
