Helicopter insurance?

Does anyone know what the approximate cost per month/year for helicopter insurance is? It would need to be for commercial use, a small helicopter, Schweizer 300 or something like that. If you know what they run for private that would also be useful but I am really looking for commerical. I know that there are a lot of variables that get thrown in there but I was just looking for ball park figures. Thanks.

It will depend alot on the experience of the operator. Especially for comercial ops. Just get some quotes is all i can say. Then decide. Also depends on the hull value of the aircraft. But if you're a new operator, and it sounds like you are if your asking this question, expect to pay.

Check out the local insurance companies. Why not call the small air charter services and the flight schools that offer helicopter training? They ought to give you an idea.
