Seems that it might come from the Phillipines, but not too sure.

  1. Enriquez is simply a Spanish patronymic--son of Enrique (Henry).  So it could come from anywhere in the Spanish-speaking world, or from the Philippines, where, although Spanish is no longer the official language, most of the family names are Spanish.

  2. This is all I could find for you on a site called www.ancestry.com

    Enriquez Name Meaning and History

    Spanish (Enríquez): patronymic from Enrique.

    hope this helps.

  3. You need to understand the impact of Spanish exploration and colonization. Spain sent persons all over the world.. Mexico, South America, and yes, also to the Phillipines.  It would be accurate to say that the ORIGIN is from Spain.  It also can be true that your own ancestors of the name,  wound up in the Phillipines.  This is something you can only determine with valid documents, that directly involve your family members.

So.. in a way, the answer can be both Spain, and also the Phillipines, when you shift from the surname to your ancestry.
