Hello, I recently bought a few funitures from Vietnam and i would like to have them transport to the USA?

I like to bring them via ship. Do i have to pay for tax for it if anyone know? And does anyone know a good ship or any transportation company that would love to take the offer? I am looking to get it done as fast as possible please help me out.

you will have to pay all kinds of tax duties and fees before you recive it at home.. none of them are very expensive by themselves but they do add up. i bought a $40 xich lo and it cost me near $400 before i got it home.

   i am suprised the furniture company can't facilitate shipping.

  this was a long time ago [10yrs] but i believe there are still a number of shipping agents in district 4 sai gon.. i believe around "hoang dieu"street... once you get home look for a recieving agent to accept and facilitate delivery to your home... that will be even more money but it is realy worth it.. all this is very complicated and will take you 1-2 days frustrating work in viet nam and 1-2 more days back home... more if you dont use a recieving agent

Since Dan provided you with a contact, I won't bother. Bear in mind that there are many shippers in Vn. If Dan's brother is unavailable, ask the store where you bought the furniture from.

Expect to pay about $ 100 usd per cubic meter to ship to the east coast of the US. After your shipment arrives, there will be additional customs and port fees that will have to be paid.

You will not have to pay taxes on your shipment if it is for your own use. If you are planning on reselling the items, there will be an import tax.

The last time I shipped to the US, I believe I paid around $250 in port/customs fees for 3.25 cubic meters of merchandise.
