These laws pertain to gambling in a physical place and not online so as long as the site accepts U.S. players you`re fine.  You could be from another galaxy as far as they are concerned :)

If you live in the US you are subject to those laws.  So if California is okay with you logging onto a British web site to gamble, then you're okay.  Otherwise you are breaking the law.
