  1. Wow!  This is a lot of research!  Good for you for figuring all of this out beforehand.  I must say, you can get a LOT of this stuff used for far, far less money.  Don't buy new unless you absolutely HAVE to.  Check out eBay, Craigslist, local 4H tack swaps, etc.  You can get a lot of the stable equipment (and first aid kit stuff, too) at the dollar store.

Chick's Saddlery (Google it) is very cheap and has a lot of basic stuff like leads, snaps, buckets, etc.  Dover Saddlery's clearance stuff is sometimes cheap, too -get on their mailing list to receive their sale catalogs.  Country Supply has great prices as well.  Go to the Google site and click on "Shopping" to compare prices on items you need to buy.  It even automatically checks eBay items for you and figures in total cost with shipping.

  2. wow.. hope you have enough money if you are willing to pay almost $200 for a saddle pad.

you can get a quality saddle pad (western and english) for around $30.

here's  great western and english saddle pads...

    only $35!

and western saddles come with stirrups, so you only have to get western stirrups if you dont like the ones on your saddle
