  1. well traditional new Zealand hand craft? i do not know what you mean?

butt the maori are the natives of new Zealand, there are no full Maoris left in new Zealand. all are of mixed race now. anyways the traditional hand crafting maori people was called weaving. where the flax is taken from a plant and weaved in to things that were used back in the day for things like bags, baskets, and a few other things. here is an example of some

btw weaving is not very common now adays, not many people are skilled at doing this art work.http://www.aotearoa.co.nz/flaxworks/abou...

alot of traditional things in new zealand stem from the tradition of maori and a few European traditions, considering maori are that natives of new zealand.

  2. handcraft? as said before, Maori are natives of NZL theres maori carvings, bone, jade & greenstone carving, raranga - (flax weaving)  also used for tukutuku panels in the wharenui, piupiu (skirt) kete (bags) etc...just google maori crafts & you should be able to find pics.
