Hello, may I know whether there can be substitutes for liquid detergent for DNA extraction?

could the substitutes be like body scrub, powder soap, etc?

  1. You can use any kind of detergent, body scrub, or shampoo.  But, it needs to be a gel, not a powder.  Most people use dawn or dish washing liquid.


  2. idk - perhaps hand soap?? - i used dawn with bleach alternative - so i guess a soap near that!?
