OK, I am asking on behalf of my mum.

This stupid brother of mine skipped his CCA(Co-Ciriculum Activities) today. His teacher-in-charge of his CCA called up my house and I picked it up, she wants to speak to my mum. When my mum know about this she search the whole house for his friends number and nagging like there is no tommorow. So, in order to get some peace and quiet around this house, I am asking this question. How to discipline this Capricorn 13 year old boy?! Ban him from the computer?(that means I can't use it as well..) My parents teaches him diffrently from the way they once teach me. I told my mum(how about discipline him the way you all torture me few years ago?[I am 16] Off the TV, computer, can't go out unless you beg for days and night and still a NO?) She don't spank my brother anymore as well. She stop hitting us when the 2 of us turn 13.

So how???

Spare the cane spoil the child.

Or should I step in as well and scold him like a foot drill Instructor?

get him in enough trouble he won't do it again, but don't make him suffer for life.

Parents almost always tend to go easier on the younger. BELIEVE ME. I could not bring C's into our home and my sister brought all Fs and 1 D and then took herself off punishment. I think that you should just tell your mom that punishing him would not hurt. I had the same punishment and I got addicted to reading because that was all I could do.MAYBE, they should do that or they should find some type of youth group for him that may help. I don't think you should be a fdi because it will make things worse but you can try to talk to him about it with hopes that he will listen to you.
