  1. The country is beautiful but unfortunatly the people are very forgetful. For some weird reason they hate the British and Americans the very saviours of their nation. This is not a racist rant just a mere observation.

  2. Beautiful land, beautiful language, and still has pride in itself.

Nowhere on Earth have I found such a strong sense of national identity than among the people of France.  It's a great shame that we, the British nation, cannot learn from the French!

  3. I love the people but especially the language, more so when the ladies speak it.

  4. Eh, comme ce, comme ca. The people were a bit stuck up.

  5. C'est Bon! I have been to few parts of France and loved my time there. My favourite part would be La Rochelle where I had a really ace holiday a few years ago.

  13. Mon francais est tres tres mauvais.. so I'm sorry but I will have to speak English.

As an English person, I have to say that there are many things I admire about France and French culture. I think the French add a lot to the world in as much as they stubbornly fight for aspects of their culture that they think is important (such as their language and way of life) in the face of a tsunami of homogenised American culture that seems to be sweeping the English-speaking world. That said, sometimes you fight too hard and marginalise yourselves and walk away when you could learn a few things from other countries.

C'est la vie! Viva La France et l'Angleterre!

Oh yes, and thanks for lending us Eric Cantona. He was superb!

  14. I went to the Loire...it was lovely, and the french were great!

  15. pardon, mais les francais sont hyper hypocrites.. i am being very honest here, mais la france autant que pays, j'y ai jamais ete (excuse mon francais, je suis anglaise)

  16. My mom just got back from paris! and she brought back a lot of snacks and i love them. I love their fashion, architecture and culture!!! i don't understand why many americans dont like france or french people, but i lovee y'all.

  19. I'm coming next year, if I can get the money together.  YAY!

  20. Bonjour!  Comment ca va?  La France est tres beau!  I would very much like to live there one day...  I have been learning the language for twelve years, since the age of four, and in my own opinion, it is the most beautiful language in the world.  I have visited Paris and Normandy, although in order to get to Spain on a school trip, we drove through France on a coach in the dark.  Paris was especially beautiful, and it was worth the whole journey just to see the Eiffel Tower in the dark.  :)

    Caroline.

  21. I admire the way the french cut the heads of off the aristocracy.

  22. I would like to visit France someday.

  23. Cheese eating surrender monkeys lol

No seriously I love it - really beautiful and the food is great!

  24. To give you an idea, I have Chambord set as my desktop. Every morning I visit the hunting lodge of Francois I. I love the French. I love their cooking and their music, especially. Marcel Dupre, for example. Franck, Widor, Vierne, Poulenc, Ravel, &c.

Yes, Chambord Castle and a vast expanse of green lawn from the Loire Valley, right on my desktop every day - absolutely beautiful. You don't appreciate the scale upon which it is built until you see the little tiny people in front of it.

  25. J'y vais cet été, j'ai tellement hâte!  Paris, Vallée Loire, et Nice!!!!  Yea!!!

  26. I like the metro, the new line the trains have rubber tyres and no driver, spooky

Eifel tower could have done with a clean though

  27. Beautiful country - have had a few holidays down the west coast of France; really enjoyed it.

  28. It's a nice country with excellent ski resorts!

  29. It's bon

  30. I've been to France twice on holidays - the French do food better than any other country in the world, to take a nighttime boat trip down the Seine is worth anything! I think everybody should visit France at least once - the waiters may treat you like sh*t but the food and wine they serve is well worth it. I was in a restaurant in Paris with my then girlfriend a few years ago - a waiter comes up and looks puzzled when I speak english, so, in an effort to impress, I try my (very bad) school French, the waiter listens for five agonising minutes, and then says, in absolutely perfect english, "O sir your French is so beautiful!", and proceeds to take our order in english - Brilliant!

  31. hheee haaa heee hhaw its truly m**d!
