It is raining somewhere in Australia, right at this moment, just not everywhere.  Some places have no water shortages, others do.

I just walked outside, and the grass is still wet.

Well the most rain falls in Australia during the summer months...at the moment in Sydney it has been overcast with random light rain showers for the past two weeks,

I live in one of the most hardly affected areas of drought. We have had some rain but not nearly enough to get the poor farmers back on the feet. My parents own a property and both work in town, as there is absoulty no way they could support themselfs just off the income the farm brings in. Lucky for us we never intended to make that much money from the farm, more of an investment / hobby thing. But we are about 1 in a billion farmers in this situation, the rest are surviving on drought relief and praying that we get some constant rain! It will take years however to get back to normal! And its weird to think that places in queensland and up the coast are having FLOODS!!!
