  1. In the UK, pre-school is generally 2 and a half upwards, any earlier and it is day care / nursery.


  2. I worked in a center and the youngest child that they had there was 2 months old. It just depends on the center and when you want to enroll her.

  3. She can attend nursery when ever you want Guy, however the funded sessions will not be available until she is three, hope this helps and thanks for asking guy.

  4. The funding from the Government is for 12.5 hours a week from the term after the child's third birthday. So if she is 9 months now, she will get her funding in Jan '10. (By then the funded hours are increasing to 15 per week.) Most preschool accept children from the age of 2, if they have spaces, but they charge per session.  

  5. A daughter, what a blessing!  If you live in the States you can typically begin care at six weeks (after the initial vaccinations are administered).  Look for a Mother's Day Out Program or something similar as some programs don't accept infants.
