If you are a surfer or having surfing pics, you can always have custom bedding made with your pics on them (at VisionBedding), or if you don't have any that you could use check out http://www.visionbedding.com/Bedding/Sur... and since they do custom bedding, they may be able to help you create a cool surf bedding set!

Another thing you can do is paint your walls different solids colors - for example blues, and separate a lighter blue (sky) from a darker blue (ocean) with trim molding or if you are really creative mask off waves, so the painting looks like the ocean.  By bringing in lots of light (globes or track lighting - ikea, home depot, or lowe's) and using sheer window coverings (ikea), you can really make it feel bright and energetic and will give off the feeling that you are at the beach (relaxing vibes).

Check out a craft store for surfboards that you can use in your decorating.  Bringing in shells and sand filled glasses or a bamboo rug, you can add texture and a beach-like dimension to your room.  If you have or could find an old surfboard, you could hang it from the ceiling over a desk or your bed which could look really cool also.  Good luck with your decorating ideas.
