  1. Hola!  I live here in Cabo, but I am originally from Canada.  Cabo is a very safe and friendly town.  Your resort will treat you first class, and you will love it here!

First time fliers of course are nervous, but you will be fine.  Bring something to entertain you on your flight, ipod, mags/books, etc.  Los Cabos is a very modern and touristy part of Mexico.  Most tourists never really see the 'real' mexico....and are fine with that.  The mexican gov't is well aware of that too.  Why do you think they built a freeway that takes the tourists from the airport directly to their resorts and bypasses the town?  Tourists don't want to see poverty on their holiday.

The whole Los Cabos area sees millions of visitors a year.   To make you feel at home, you will see a Costco, a Walmart, Office Depot, and of course Mcdonalds, Subway and Dominos.  It's not much different than the USA.

Los Cabos is a desert landscape with cactus and sand, as well as tourqoise blue ocean.  Your resort will be fancy and posh, and you will enjoy yourself frolicking in the sun and surf.

Don't worry about a thing and enjoy your holiday.

p.s.  Having said that, these are some of the top things you don't do while in Mexico:

Don't except food and drink from strangers

Never go off on your own

Do not carry or take drugs

Do not get extremely drunk and disorderly

Be wary of strangers making "friends" with you.  Most are either trying to sell you timeshare or have other bad intentions.  There aren't very many locals here anymore that actually want to get to know the tourists.

    Don't drive at night

    Do try to speak spanish

    Do tip

    Do have a good time!

  2. Hi there, you might want to go to your doctor and tell him that you're going to Mexico, so that they can give you shots. I also found that I tended to get sick if I drank tap water so make sure you only drink bottled water, their system is different over there and for some reason it tends to mess people's stomach up. Take sunscreen, take some gum to chew on the airplane because some people's ears hurt. Good l**k and have fun!!!

  3. Hi there i don't think i can give you any tips on mexico but bring sunscreen. But siince you have never flown you might want to bring gum because your ears pop and gum helps prevent this. well i am glad to  help you and good luck and have fun in mexico
