So Im 17 and Im not going to live with my parents any more. Because I cant live in the state I just moved into. Like the school here doesn't have the classes I need for my mager. And I might not be able to graduate with my class. Because they want me to take some test. I might move back to my old school (in another state) and I was wondering.... willl they exept me even though i am not going to live with my parents? Im going to live with my aunt. so... do you have to have some type of law permition?

  1. lol that was confusing...

  2. All you have to do is get a notarized paper saying your parents gave you permission to move in with your aunt, the school has nothing to do with that.

  3. if your aunt is over 18 then she can be considered a legal gaurdian soooo ......yea ur good to go

  4. your parents will have to make your aunt your legal guardian.

  5. Your aunt would have to become your legal guardian. Anytime you see that word "legal", expect there to be lawyers involved -- or at least a judge and some paperwork.

  6. They should not say anything about it. Talk to the school counselor and she will provide you with what you need to know. Good Luck.

  7. umm im pretty sure they have to,you just have to get your parents to sign over guardianship to your aunt..which is saying that she is the one who is taking care of you

  8. The only problem I can think of is make sure that your aunt has done the right paper work to make her (key phrase) Legal Guardian.

  9. Does the school offer spelling classes?  Or do they maybe offer English grammer classes?  If they do, then they DEFINITELY offer classes you need for your MAJOR.  You should probably just stay in school with your parents.

But to answer your question, as long as it is ok with your parents, at most schools, staying with your aunt will be fine.  But they will require your parents PERMISSION.
