hello I have a toshiba satellie laptop and windows vista OS. This mornign a prompting poppped up taht windows vista service pack was ready to be instaled, so i clicked on install and it begun installing. This took a while then it started configuring the 3 stages of updates. All this happened fairly ok, then a scan operation started after stage 3 was configured and it stuck at a particular file beging ox something, then the scanning operation kept trying to continue but the laptop remained stuck there.
I powered off the laptop manually, then rebooted and launch repair was an option which i took , i tried restoring setting but nothing is happening. I then powered off and tried restarting in safe mode but it came right back to launch repair.
