I am almost certain that the photographed city is Rome, but what is the exact name of this part and to whom is this monument dedicated to? Anybody knows?

  1. Sorry, not sure, but I would assume an Eastern European country cuz of the SLAVS thing.

  2. Hello,

You are in Piazza Venezia at the base of the Vittorio Emanuele II monument.

If you are standing facing the Vittorio Emanuele II monument and look to your left you will see this view.  The bronze sculpture you see in the picture is at the base of the steps of the Vittorio monument and the coloumn is Trajan's column and one of the best representations of continuous narration in Rome.  The two domes are part of the churches  of Santa Maria di Loreto and Sacred Name of Maria.
