Hello all, is anybody know if the work-permit in Germany (due to marriage) can be used to work in Irland, UK,?

  1. Laws differ for Ireland and the UK as you are talking about two different countries here.

    If you are talking about Ireland, you will have to apply again, as German work permits are not valid in Ireland, especially if you are from a country that is not a EU member state.

    Ireland is extremely strict on this. Marriage cuts no ice with the authorities in Ireland.

    I'm sorry, I don't know about the UK, but I would imagine the laws would be somewhat similar.

    To be doubly sure, I'd recommend you go to the relevant embassy / consulate in Germany.


  2. A non-EU citizen could not use a German work-permit to work in the UK or Ireland. A seperate British or Irish one would be required.

  3. please understand that each country has its own ruling , laws ,visas and so on .........

    just as visa ? each country delivers their own visa ,

    so ,no , you may not use another country's work- visa in another country .it is invalid and impossible .

    to work in the UK you will have to get a leave to work . and you can only apply at the UK .....or at an UK embassy .
