my question :). I am taking Early Childhood Education and I am aware that educators don't bring home as much bacon as they'd like to. If anyone knows, how do I get the most out of this career? Is a home-based daycare more money for me? Is continuing my education a better idea?(Which I don't really have the expenses to do) Just give me some ideas or suggestions as to what could possibly increase my salary. Thanks a lot!

  1. Each preschool and childcare is different in our area concerning wages. I agree that getting as much education as you can is best. However I do believe that if you are in this profession in needs to be because you believe in early childhood education. You want children to enjoy learning and you want them to want to be in school.

  2. i have no idea

  3. Continuing your education is the best way to earn more money.  If you are interested in the child care field, look into taking Montessori Certification.  Teachers in a Montessori school usually earn more than teachers in a day care center.  There are many Montessori trainings offered on line as well as some community colleges and other individual school that offer teacher training.  You can check the web site for MACTE and see if any schools in your area are accredited.

If you check with Montessori schools in your area, you may find that some of them will pay for your training.
